ramsac attributes strong growth in 2005 to demand for IT Role Outsourcing by SME’s
ramsac, a leading IT solutions consultancy, today announced that demand from the SME sector for its ‘role outsourcing’ service has resulted in strong sales growth, improved customer satisfaction and a series of industry accolades throughout 2005.
For the first six months of 2005 ramsac exceeded targets for both services and product sales by 135% and 122% respectively. Projected results for the final six months of the calendar year based on October figures, suggest even stronger growth, with 170% for services and 131% for product sales. In addition to increased sales figures, ramsac recorded a customer satisfaction figure of 92%, with customer retention increasing to 93%.
2005 has been a positive year for the company, as ramsac has received numerous accolades by its peers at a number of prestigious IT awards. These include: Medallist status for its outsourced IT management service, from the British Computer Society; finalist in the SME Reseller of the Year category at the Computer Reseller News awards and finalist for its professional services at the Channel Network Awards. ramsac’s work for the property investment company, Imagine Homes, has resulted in a shortlist nomination for the IT Outsourcing Project of the Year at the National Outsourcing Awards.
Commenting on the reasons for ramsac’s continued success in 2005, Managing Director, Robert May states, “We believe that the SME business owners and managers should be able to concentrate on developing their own organisations, without being bogged down in IT problems along the way.”
ramsac’s outsourced IT management service provides SME’s with all of the capabilities of a professional IT department, scaled to suit their needs, with an option to leverage the services when they need them most.
May explains, “The majority of SMEs do not have the time or in-house expertise to ensure that they maximise the full potential for technology use within their business. By providing outsourced services such as network management, telephone support, on-site consultancy and Internet solutions, companies can benefit from having a team of professionals helping them to plan and develop their IT requirements.”
ramsac provides support to SMEs who do not employ their own IT staff, as well as to those who do employ IT staff, but who want to supplement and better manage those in house IT employees.
At the head of ramsac’s outsourced services, is the Outsourced IT Director, providing a senior level, technically proficient IT executive to meet with the board of directors on a regular basis, to understand the business requirement in both the short and long term and make sure that IT is aligned with business strategy. In this manner, all expense is planned and budgeted, and IT need never be a nasty surprise. “Of course, management goes beyond the boardroom and our service extends to outsourced IT Managers, Network Managers and Project Managers,” concludes May.
As well as industry recognition, ramsac was recognised at a local level, winning the Southern Business Times ‘Business of the Month’ award in April of this year. It has also been short listed for the forthcoming Surrey Business awards, for both the technology and small business awards. The results of both are due in February 2006.
