IT Audits

The performance of your network is critical to the success of your organisation, so it is important to have and maintain an independent, objective review of your current set up.

We understand that without all the facts, you can’t make decisions for the future.

ramsac’s IT Audit range comprises of:

  • System Health Check and Documentation

  • IT Costs and Contracts Audit

  • IT Security Audit

  • IT Skills and Roles Audit

System Health Check and Documentation

How well documented are the key components of your network? If a server was to fail, would you have the documentation to hand that would enable you to quickly establish a replacement? Are you confident that your system is robust and that your budget is being put to good use? Do you have the information that you need in order to be able to make a decision about growth or investment?

Our System Health Check and Documentation service has been designed to provide you with an insight into the health of your systems. Our Networking Specialists carry out a detailed audit, giving you a thorough inventory of your entire network.

The output is a detailed inventory, including hardware, software and peripherals, plus a recommended action plan showing areas for improvement, areas of vulnerability and recommendations for network optimisation.

IT Costs and Contracts Audit

You are buying your IT services in a very competitive market these days. As technology advances, it often follows that deliverables go up, and prices come down. But so many businesses find it difficult to keep track of what suppliers they need to retain, and who is providing the best service at the best cost.

In some cases, organisations continue to pay for technical contracts that are no longer required, because the accounts department are fearful of cancelling a service that they don’t fully understand.

Our IT Costs and Contracts Audit has been designed to provide you with a complete breakdown of what you are getting for your money, from all your technology suppliers, including internet service providers, telecoms providers, anti virus, spam and security vendors, hardware and software suppliers, and all of the people that currently charge you, or tie you into a contract.

As well as advising on where you can save money or cancel unnecessary services, we can also advise you where you should be spending more – identifying the spending that really produces results, and where further cost-cutting would be the beginning of a vicious circle.

IT Security Audit

The media has made us all too aware of the prevalence of IT sabotage. Internal misuse, viruses, system hacking and data loss are all things that businesses know they should consider.

But many organisations do not know the current state of the security on their networks. And because the task of undertaking a security audit is so daunting, many organisations simply fail to take any action at, exposing them to a very real and very costly risk

Our detailed Security Audit uses a range of tools to evaluate just how secure your network is. As well as reviewing the hardware and software protection of your network, we will also look at the administration and people processes that are all key to protecting your business critical data.

IT Skills and Roles Audit

If your organisation has an in house IT department, it’s important for you to ensure that you are getting the best out of the people that you employ.

Assessing the skills and training needs of technical staff, is often difficult for non technical directors or managers.

Organisations use the ramsac IT Skills and Roles Audit to review in house teams, examine IT HR structures, develop training plans and highlight skills gaps.
